Produced by the People's Bank of China, the Chinese Panda five coin series has been on the market since 1982. The Panda design on the reverse of the coin changes every year while the Temple of Heaven design on the obverse remains largely the same. The premium over spot gold is slightly higher than on comparable issues from other countries, but the complete series has always been very collectable. We usually have a selection of many of prior year and size Pandas for the collector. There are many special issues and proof versions produced and we carry some of these on occasion. The smaller Pandas have always been very popular in bezels and other mountings for jewelry.
